Bantalabs: the
newest drupal shop on the
block
So you want to know what I've been scheming over the past month or so? Well just take a look at bantalabs
After years of friendship and a few joint projects I have teamed up with Joeri Poesen to launch our own Drupal Shop.
We will be building websites, web applications and mobile tools that help organizations improve their workflow, communication and outreach.
We almost exclusively use - and contribute to - open source tools such as Drupal, Asterisk, Ubuntu Linux and OpenOffice.
Bantalabs is committed to empowering people and investing in the community. It is our explicit aim to set up (nearly) free open source training projects across Senegal to introduce people to the wealth of free and open source software that is readily available to them.
Aside from attending and speaking at many international drupal events we're developing a Drupal training program for graduates and gap year students. In association with the Université Gaston Berger (Saint Louis, Senegal) and Université Cheikh Anta Diop (Dakar, Senegal) two to five students will complete their Information Science internship as part of our Senegalese development team each semester.
Starting March 2010 we'll be available for commercial training and community oriented hands-on sessions throughout Europe and Western Africa. We can provide training on wide variety of Drupal topics from basic site administration to module development and theming.
Let us know what you're doing with Drupal and where you'd like to take your team. We'd be happy to assist you any way we can.
